The box is made out of fossil oak that is 4,600 years old and extracted from the floodplain areas of Kupa and Sava rivers. It is used for transport and storage of the most precious truffles. The box represents a stylized oak trunk, while its outside layer is the configuration of the oak bark. Oak usually grows in areas where truffles are grown and picked. This luxurious gift represents the symbiosis of man and nature. The opening of the box should represent a ritual similar to the ceremony of the moment the truffle is found during truffle hunting.
